Fresenius VAMED · MD Middle East · 2022–2024
Dissolved the co-CEO structure. Rebuilt the team. Developed the first market-grounded strategy the region had ever had. Defended and approved at HQ in Vienna.
Built a cross-regional expert hub spanning Middle East, Vienna, Africa and Asia. Developed investable project blueprints across medical wellness, functional medicine, mental health, IVF, orthopaedics and rehabilitation.
Represented the business in senior discussions with PIF, Mubadala and regional family offices.
The business I left was structurally sounder, strategically clearer and commercially more credible than the one I inherited.
Deloitte · Director · 2019 –2022
The healthcare practice was new. The client base didn’t exist yet. The mandate was to build it.
Provider performance improvement, medical strategy, PE due diligence, and digitisation — including developing a process mining methodology for healthcare in collaboration with Deloitte’s global process mining team, one of the first applications of the technology in a clinical setting.
Appointed certified Future of Health speaker for Deloitte. The work operated at every level — from regional government and hospital boards to clinical leadership and operational teams.
What made it formative: fashion, travel, automotive, shipping — the same failure patterns, different industries. That cross-sector exposure sharpened my commercial instincts beyond what any single-sector career could have done.

Eleven years making life-and-death decisions under time pressure, often in the middle of the night, with every eye in the room on me.
Board-certified in the minimum possible time — one of the youngest in Germany at 31. First female attending in cardiac surgery at my university. Trained alongside Denton A. Cooley in Houston. Operated at the site of the world’s first heart transplant in Cape Town. Led surgical teams in Germany, China and Laos.
What that decade built: the ability to diagnose fast, decide with incomplete information, and lead when the margin for error is zero. Every role since has been easier by comparison.
