So many of my clients, brilliant CEOs and MDs, freeze before their first LinkedIn post.
Twenty lines. Total panic. Why?
Fear of colleagues. Friends. The random guy from a past job.
Reality check: almost no one sees your first post. And the people who do?
The ones who value personal brands will cheer you on.
Let’s make it easy:
Weekend Plan (20 minutes, I promise)
1) Write your headline (LinkedIn, under your name).
Not your job title, your value.
- “I help X achieve Y by doing Z.”
- “Strategy + operations leader | Scaling teams & turning chaos into outcomes.”
2) Post your first (or next) 20-line LinkedIn note. You can use this template or just start writing what comes to your mind (that´s how I´m doing it 😅):
- Hook: One sentence that makes people nod.
- Truth: What you see in your industry that’s not being said.
- Story: A real example in 3–4 lines.
- Value: 1–3 practical tips or beliefs.
- Close: A question to start conversation.
3) Pick your first 3 post ideas (save for the next weeks):
- “3 myths I keep hearing in [your industry] and what actually works.”
- “One mistake I made as a leader (and what I do differently now).”
- “If I were starting in this field today, here’s the advice I’d give.”
4) Optional: Podcast seed.
Record a 5–7 minute voice note on your phone: one topic, one story, one takeaway.
That’s Episode 1. (Perfect is the enemy of posted.)
Rules to keep you sane:
- Don’t overthink. Post slightly outside your comfort zone.
- You can edit your headline next week. You can delete a post (although that´s ot favorable for the algorithm). You can try again.
- Visibility is a habit, not a personality trait.
If you want the shortcut, reply to this email and we’ll map your 30-day visibility plan together.
Your Move (this weekend)
Tell me when it’s live, I’ll come cheer 🤗
Update your LinkedIn headline (value > job title).
Publish one 20-line post. Don’t tag anyone. Keep it clean.
