Ok, I know it´s Sunday and not Friday 🙈….but the last Cavas and travelling back to Dubai might have caused some delay….but I´m back, unpacked and the first two training sessions under my belt.
I don´t know if you know but I’ve done CrossFit consistently for nearly 10 years.
Not in a “New Year’s resolution” kind of way. Real training. Through surgeries, consulting projects, and time zones. I’ve stayed strong, committed, consistent.
And yet, when I fed my data into ChatGPT last week, including insights from my genetic testing, something a little unexpected happened.
The summary?
“You’re in maintenance mode. Not peak-performance mode.”
😳
It was brutally honest.
And painfully true.
Yes, I train more than most.
Yes, my biological age is lower than my actual one.
Yes, I’m proud of what I’ve built, especially as a 45-year-old woman.
But I also know when I’ve been coasting (if I´m completely honest with myself).
I’ve trained the movements I like, not the ones I suck at.
I’ve celebrated “good for your age” instead of asking what’s possible at this age.
And if I’m honest… I’ve let mindset be my biggest limiter.
So, I’m shifting gears.
No, I’m not going to train for the Olympics.
But I am done underestimating what’s possible — physically, mentally, and professionally — in this season of life.
I’ll keep you posted on my glow-up game.
But for now, I’ll leave you with a question:
Are you in maintenance mode… or glow-up mode?
Let me know and we can glow up together 🥰 (might need some accountability 😇)
See you next week,
Dr. Kerstin
